Romulus assure que le nouveau film de la saga aura "une tournure totalement différente"

Romulus assures that the new film in the saga will have “a totally different twist”

After several years of rest, the franchise Extraterrestrial will return to the big screen this year with Romulus a film that will function as a reboot of the saga and which, according to one of the main actors, will be something very different from what has been seen so far.

Through an interview with MovieWeb, the actor David Johnson spoke about his work in the new episode of Extraterrestrial a film about which there is practically no information but which promises a lot, since it represents an almost complete change for the saga.

“I mean, I’m not really sure what I can say yet, but I know that… I know that it’s very, very, very different. I think Alien was slightly before my generation, in terms of depth and impact in terms of time, but you know, we gave it an incredible twist. We have Fede Álvarez as director and Ridley Scott as producer. It was incredible to work with these people and with Cailee Spaeny. , who is a brilliant actress. I think it’s going to be great.

Jonsson acknowledges that his generation hasn’t experienced the Alien franchise up close, so he hopes to surprise older fans with the film. The generation born in the 90s did not have the experience of seeing the Xenomorph on the big screen, so it looks like they’ll be going for something new that will surprise both veterans and newcomers.

But the Alien franchise won’t stop with this film. Several months ago, it was announced that FX was developing a series centered around the franchise, and while few plot details are known, it appears they plan to keep it on the air for several years. Alien: Romulus will be released in theaters worldwide on August 16, 2024.
