Studio Bones receives documentary from Crunchyroll

In recent years, we have seen how different animation studios have positioned themselves at the top through various adaptations. There is, however, one that has always remained at the top for decades and is still relevant today: Studio bones .

Now, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Crunchyroll wanted to pay tribute to the height in the form of a documentary. Bones 25: Dreaming Forward will explore the inside story of one of the most respected studios in the entire anime industry and how it has grown exponentially since its inception.

Several of the world’s biggest directors and manga artists will sit in front of the camera to talk about the studio. Among them are One, creator of One Punch Man and Crowd Psycho 100 ; Shinchiro Watanabe, director of Cowboy Bebop and Space Dandy ; and Kafka Asagiri, creator of Bungou Stray Dogs. They will share their experience of the studio and the working method used to adapt their works for the small screen.

The documentary will be made up of 4 parts of 24 minutes each and will arrive on Crunchyroll today, February 13, 2024. This celebration also coincides with the launch of Studio Bones’ new original anime, Metallic red of which we can now enjoy its first episode on the on-demand streaming platform owned by Sony.
