Microsoft with update KB5020683 brings Windows 11 to Windows 10 22H2 users via OOBE

The release of Windows 11 update has almost completed a year. Microsoft continually tries to push and release updates to gather positive user feedback. The giant has started enticing Windows 10 21H1 users to upgrade to Windows 11. Additionally, for Windows 8.1 users, Microsoft has urged them to upgrade their devices to Windows 11 to unlock the benefits and improve their experience.

Recently, Microsoft started offering Windows update with Out of Box experience for the very first time to Windows 10 22H2 users.

Microsoft released an out-of-band update on November 30, 2022. The update is applicable on the following versions of Windows

  • Windows 10, version 2004 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 20H2 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 21H1 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 21H2 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 22H2 (Home and Professional only)

How to download update KB5020683?

Windows OOBE (out-of-box experience)

To download the update, your device must be connected to the Internet. Once you have a stable internet connection, you can download the Windows OOBE update through the Windows Update section of the Settings app.

The following versions of Windows support Windows OOBE Update.

  • Windows 10, version 2004

Recommended: KB4586781 and OS Build 19041.630

However, the update may also work on KB4580364 and OS Build 19041.610.

Note : To apply updates, restart your device. Additionally, this update will replace the existing version i.e. KB5005716.
