The Casino group accelerates on quick-commerce in France
On November 4, on the occasion of the publication of the turnover for the third quarter of 2021, the group led by Jean-Charles Naouri announced the signing of a partnership with Gorillas, a German player in express delivery.
Through this agreement, the Casino group will initially supply Gorillas with both national brands and Monoprix products. These products will be available on the Gorillas platform and delivered in a few minutes to Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon and Nice.
The Casino group puts the “Turbo” in Colombia
At the end of November 2021, the Casino group and its Colombian subsidiary Grupo Éxito decided to boost their presence in the local quick-commerce market. A strategy illustrated by the deployment of a new ultra-fast delivery system: Turbo. In 10 minutes with a watch in hand, Colombians can receive products from the Éxito and Carulla brands directly at home. The Turbo offer is available in six cities across the country: Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Chía. A performance made possible by the alliance between the subsidiary of the Casino group and Rappi, leader in home delivery.
