Quick-commerce: two major partnerships for the Casino group in France and Colombia

The Casino group is accelerating on ultra-fast delivery solutions in France and Latin America. The Saint-Etienne distributor established two important partnerships last November with major players in the sector: a first with Gorillas for the French market, a second with Rappi for the Colombian market. With these new ultra-fast delivery services, the group chaired by Jean-Charles Naouri is further diversifying its customer offering.
THE Casino group now seems to be establishing itself as a key player in the quick-commerce market: in France, where a partnership has been signed with the German unicorn Gorillas, but also in Colombia, where the local subsidiary Grupo Éxito now uses the “Turbo” service. », developed by its partner Rappi.

The Casino group accelerates on quick-commerce in France

On November 4, on the occasion of the publication of the turnover for the third quarter of 2021, the group led by Jean-Charles Naouri announced the signing of a partnership with Gorillas, a German player in express delivery.

Through this agreement, the Casino group will initially supply Gorillas with both national brands and Monoprix products. These products will be available on the Gorillas platform and delivered in a few minutes to Paris, Lille, Bordeaux, Lyon and Nice.

The Casino group puts the “Turbo” in Colombia

At the end of November 2021, the Casino group and its Colombian subsidiary Grupo Éxito decided to boost their presence in the local quick-commerce market. A strategy illustrated by the deployment of a new ultra-fast delivery system: Turbo. In 10 minutes with a watch in hand, Colombians can receive products from the Éxito and Carulla brands directly at home. The Turbo offer is available in six cities across the country: Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Chía. A performance made possible by the alliance between the subsidiary of the Casino group and Rappi, leader in home delivery.
